"Twas The Night Before Jesus Came"

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed. Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap. When out of the East there arose such a clatter. I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash! When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY! The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame. The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound. While all the rest were left standing around. I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

About Our Haiti Missions Trip...

About Haiti and Our WHY as to going...Haiti is located in the Caribbean Sea about 600 miles south of Florida, it shares an island with the Dominican Republic. It is the second poorest country in the world. It is a third world country. The main religion is voodoo, or the worship of Satan.

I have also found out that this can be a tax write off for next year if you would like!!! Now how GREAT is that? Helping us help a third world country AND getting to write it off!!!! WOW!

While there I pray GOD can use what ever talents that I may have to further the spread of the gospel. To lead as many people as I can to the Lord and show them the way to heaven and FINALLY do SOMETHING worth while with my life and for the Lord!

Harry Peart the Missionary at Haiti said... "One can not describe it, you just have to experience it! Also Many people have a different idea about missionaries and missions. They think that missions is all about preaching to the people to which you minister. That idea is true in part; our ultimate goal in all that we do is to bring glory to God by carrying out His Great Commission. But the practical application of carrying out the Great Commission is evident in many forms throughout our different ministries here in Haiti.

Many times the application of the Great Commission comes in meeting a person’s physical needs, especially when you live in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Other times the application of the Great Commission comes by meeting a person’s educational needs.

In every case, people have left Haiti with a greater burden for missions. Their churches get a greater vision for the lost, not only around the world, but also in their hometown."

So this is WHY our family wants to go to Haiti this comingNov. or Dec.! Do you KNOW HOW bad Abigail & Esther WANT to go? They are wanting to sell some of the things they got for Christmas just so they can go! Now that is a HEART for God! I mean to sell some of their brand new UNOPENED toys just so they can go help some other children in another country that have WAY less than them!

I LOVE my girls! God is SO GOOD!
