"Twas The Night Before Jesus Came"

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed. Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap. When out of the East there arose such a clatter. I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash! When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY! The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame. The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound. While all the rest were left standing around. I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

How I make my Homemade Laundry Detergent...

I make 10 gallons {in 2-5 gal. buckets} for about $10.00-$12.00. I add "purple" pine-sol, about $4.72 for one-unless I find it on sale for 2 for $4.72 and add a half to whole bottle of $4.00 {generic} essential oil {I like Lavender} then about 1/3 to half a box of borax {$4.00 for a whole box} and about half a box of baking soda {.50 for a whole box} and about 6 bars of soap {usually coast or Irish Spring-about $2.00 for 6 bars}. What I do is grate the soap, then add it all but baking soda into a BIG pot {about a 2 gallon or preferably bigger, with wa ter ALMOST full-give about...well a little more than 1/3 from top and heat on stove till very warm then SLOWLY add the baking soda, cause it WILL foam up. Then after all is added and mixed turn off heat, cool and put into buckets. Pour the mixture into the 2 five gallon buckets and fill the rest with water. This will be THICK when it cools and settles, so you must stir each time before filling your container. The good thing about this is you really are getting 20 gallons, because what you do is put into and gallon container-HALF WAY and then fill the rest with water, each time you refill your container! If this sounds complicated email me and I will explain it more! So think about it 20 gallons of detergent for $10.00, about .50 cents a gallon. Not to bad huh?!!!
Let me know if anyone tries this and what they think of it!!! I love it, not to mention the money we are saving. I also make our own fabric softener, dish detergent and deodorant and I also started making my own perfume!!! Not to mention I make my grandson's fresh homemade baby food, with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Have a great night and I
hope this helps some of y'all. Just let me know if you want to know about the other things I make.
